Igor Kotnik, umetnik, izobražen na Šoli za oblikovanje in slikarstvo v Ljubljani, mojstrsko združuje suhe pastele in živahne akrilne barve, da bi odražal lepoto in veselje do življenja, pri čemer črpa navdih iz svojih praških korenin in pomirjujočih ritmov klasične klavirske glasbe. Njegova edinstvena tehnika, ki usklajuje spontane poteze s strukturiranimi oblikami, mu omogoča ustvarjanje večplastnih, dinamičnih del, ki vzbujajo spokojnost in neskončne variacije čustev. Skozi svojo kariero je razstavljal tako na skupinskih kot samostojnih razstavah, kjer je svojo vizijo in pozitivno energijo delil z občinstvom po vsej Evropi, Združenih arabskih emiratih, Kanadi ..., dela pa so zdaj v številnih zasebnih zbirkah.

Z več kot 55-letno ustvarjalno potjo je Igor Kotnik izkušen abstraktni umetnik, čigar živahna dela so očarala občinstvo po vsem svetu. Njegova kariera vključuje štiri samostojne razstave in sodelovanje na več kot dvajsetih skupinskih razstavah na mednarodnih odrih, kar odraža tako njegovo predanost kot univerzalno privlačnost njegove umetnosti. Igorjeva ekspresivna uporaba barv in dinamično čopičenje sta zaščitni znak njegovega sloga, ki vabita gledalce, da doživijo energijo in čustva v vsakem delu. Njegove slike so v zasebnih zbirkah po vsem svetu, zaradi česar je spoštovana osebnost na sodobni umetniški sceni.

Igor Kotnik, an artist educated at the School of Design and Painting in Ljubljana, masterfully blends dry pastels and vibrant acrylics to reflect the beauty and joy of life, drawing inspiration from his Prague roots and the soothing rhythms of classical piano music. His unique technique, which harmonizes spontaneous strokes with structured forms, allows him to create layered, dynamic pieces that evoke serenity and endless variations of emotion. Throughout his career, he has exhibited in both group and solo shows, sharing his vision and positive energy with audiences across Europe,United Arab Emirates,Canada...  with works now held in a multitude of private collections.

With a creative journey spanning over 55 years, Igor Kotnik is an accomplished abstract artist whose vibrant works have captivated audiences around the globe. His career includes four solo exhibitions and participation in more than twenty group shows on international stages, reflecting both his dedication and the universal appeal of his art. Igor’s expressive use of color and dynamic brushwork are hallmarks of his style, inviting viewers to experience the energy and emotion within each piece. His paintings are held in private collections worldwide, making him a respected figure in the contemporary art scene.

I graduated from a school of design and painting in 1979 and continued to explore all possibilities of art design and artistic creation.
